  • Description of the Work

In the work, “BLUE" has meaning through the works of Choi Seung-yoon's work world. The blue color is cold in the moment, but the most hot stars in space. This color is representative of the world that can live through the first half of the world that can live through this color. The blue is the most fundamental color of the Earth and the concept of the writer.

He delicately represents our world through objects and geometric patterns. The exhilaration of speeding towards an endless unknown and the contemplation of traces from the past help him redefine the future. He now advocates for mutual recognition, living in harmony with nature, breaking free from self-imposed traps in daily life, and fostering communication and healing with one another.

  • About the Artist

He says that the world is made up of fundamentally opposite laws and reveals a huge paradox that coexists with each other in opposite worlds. He visually expresses the paradoxes of a world that can only live if there is opposition, such as inhalation and exhalation, contraction and expansion, N pole and S pole, nothingness and limitation, life and death, and captures them on the screen. Talking about the paradoxes of movement, the paradox of freedom, the paradox of time and space, rise and fall, the artist's will to find harmony and balance in the upper drama can be felt through his work.

Starting with his first solo exhibition in 2011, he has consistently been active, holding solo exhibitions at Gallery JJ in 2020 and at Jang Design Art in 2023.
