● Pony
A panoramic view is possible from the PLAZA
This is a beginner's area that can be used only with the first lift at the base of the mountain.
There is also a dedicated school course in the area, so families, seniors, beginners, and children can enjoy the area safely and easily.
◆◆ Mamushi
ARAI's famous course, Mamushi!
You can enjoy your own route from the drop-in location to the exit.
This is the most challenging course to discover.
The terrain alone is fun enough, but then there's the snow!
This is a great course with a roaring sound.
OFF-PISTE AREA
■ Happy Place
Popular among intermediate skiers, Happy place changes as the season goes by; near the start of the season, its sides can be used to practice tree runs, during peak winter season the snow covers the treetops making it a great free riding area, and near the end of the season, it becomes a slalom practice area.
■ Osoto
Osoto is a small ungroomed area near the end of Myoko Long run, with nothing out of the ordinary making it perfect for people starting free riding.
◆ Benzaku
The best place for tree runs at ARAI with plenty of trees on either side, there is even a natural half-pipe like area running through its mid-section.
◆ Funaishi
Funaishi is one of the more consistently open free riding areas in ARAI. Opening times may vary, but it is very common for it to be open first thing in the morning. This is one of ARAI's most popular areas.
◆ Big Bowl / Higashi Shamen
The signature free riding zone of ARAI. containing the vast majority of the eastern slope of both Ogenashi and Kogenashi Mountain. The whole area is avalanche controlled by our patrol and avalanche team before opening.
A 30 minute hike up to the summit grants you the best powder ARAI has to offer.
Snow shoes and hiking equipment are highly advised.
◆◆ Zendana Bowl
Usually only open during the peak of winter snowfall. Once open, if offers some of the best drops and terrain.
FJT and FWQ3 approved.
◆◆ Wase
The expanse between Exciter and Mamushi. Accessible via the gates on Myoko Long run.
◆◆ Mamushi
Home of the 2017-2018 season Freeride World Qualifier, it is for the best of the best riders. Bowls, ridges, cliffs, trees, Mamushi has it all.

Amazing runs with trees, bumps and jumps all throughout the area, easily accessible via gates on the Umanose course
